Jay Cutler has had his fair share of struggles during his career in Chicago and now with a new head coach, Cutler has a statement to make in what could end up being a make or break season. Cutler's play has dipped somewhat recently which is proven by the fact that Cutler has the two lowest completion percentages of his career in each of the last two seasons. One of the biggest issues Cutler had was the fact that he was getting sacked a lot and that issue has been solved somewhat. Cutler is entering one of the biggest seasons of his career so this will be a test to see how good Cutler really is.

Matt Forte has gone from a second round pick out of Tulane to a star for Chicago and one of the top 10 running backs in the NFL. Forte has proven himself as an every down back that is dangerous in space and solid up the middle which was once again proven by his 4.4 yards per carry last year. Forte is also a big part of the passing game after Forte had 44 receptions last season for the Bears. However, Forte has never been a power back that is the ideal choice to power it in the redzone which is why Chicago has Michael Bush. Bush might not be a great running back but Bush's strength and toughness makes him an issue for opposing defenses around the endzone. The Bears have one of the best running games in the NFL which should take some pressure off of Jay Cutler.

Brandon Marshall has been great in Chicago
When most scouts think of a number 1 receiver, they think of a player like Brandon Marshall who has good speed, great size, and great physicality to go up and get the football against the opposing cornerback. Brandon Marshall has been the focal point of the Chicago passing offense for all of his time in the Windy City and that should continue after having 118 receptions, 1508 receiving yards, and 11 receiving touchdowns. Alshon Jeffery has huge potential to be another big outside target for Jay Cutler and Jeffery will look to improve after a slightly disappointing rookie season. Martellus Bennett has been brought in to give Cutler another quality target after Bennett had 55 receptions and 11.4 yards per reception last season. The Bears have had one talented receiver in Brandon Marshall for a while but Chicago is hoping the rest of their receivers will improve.

The Chicago Bears' offensive line was one of the worst in the NFL last season and needed to be improved which is exactly what the Bears did this off-season. First, the Bears went and brought in a proven left tackle in Jermon Bushrod who has protected Drew Brees' blind side since the 2009 season when New Orleans won the Super Bowl. The Bears improved their interior offensive line by using their first round pick on Kyle Long who has been somewhat impressive in preseason. J'Marcus Webb will look to prove that he can be a quality starting offensive tackle after moving from left to right tackle. Matt Slauson and Robert Garza are going to be starting at left guard and center respectively, and will look to open holes for Matt Forte. The Chicago offensive line is still a work in progress but this offensive line is way better than last year's.
